We had so much fun Halloween and were lucky enough to see more than average numbers of trick or treaters in our neighborhood. Two of our favorite neighbors, Owen and Olivia, are shown below. Owen is a Dracula sort of person with his mom Helen (kudos to her head dress) and Olivia is the rock star. They are adorable children and Steve and I have become quite fond of them.
Of course our kids, Timi and Tia were in the holiday groove too:
They really are little devils!!!!
The leaves here are as brilliant and every bit as beautiful as those on the east coast. One of the reasons we love it so much here is to see the seasons such as the autumn. Unfortunately we have a lot of leaves to pick up now and will get to it soon when they have all fallen. We're seeing some rain but nothing like what is happening to the north of us. We understand there has been flooding in and around the Seattle area. It has been around 60 degrees this week which is a little warmer than usual for this time of year.
I have finally finished the quilt I made Norine for Christmas, and I'm sure she will enjoy it. She is kind of into "fairies" and this one has Tinker-Bell on it. We also bought her the new Disney DVD of Tinker-Bell so it's easy to picture her wrapped up in her new quilt watching the movie. It's hard to believe that she will be 3 in December! Here is a picture of the quilt and one square to view:
Steve and I are going to a hockey game tomorrow night in Portland which is our first of the season. They are a minor league team but really do show us an exciting game every time. Steph, Jeff and the kids will be in Vancouver next weekend to attend an agility competition for Alexis' dog Bridgett. We are anxious to see her perform and have planned some fun things to do in Portland when they are here.
