After changing our plans three or four times, we have decided to leave Vancouver for the winter and head to Palm Springs. There is a clear pattern of weather over the next week, and we would prefer dry roads crossing the mountains into California. We are leaving Friday and should arrive in the desert late Sunday or early Monday. Our yard and leaf clean-up are complete and I have to admit we are anxious to get back to our place in the warm sunny place.
Steph and family were here last weekend for an agility meet for Alexis and her dog Bridgette. We really enjoyed watching the dogs, both novice and experienced. Unfortunately, Bridgette wasn't in much of a mood for agility and of course Alexis was disappointed. Here is a cute picture of her and the dog:
We also ventured into Portland on Saturday night on the Max Train and had dinner at the infamous "Old Town Pizza". It really was good and is supposed to be haunted (it's in an ancient building near Chinatown). We didn't see anything spooky though. Curtis has grown a foot in the last few months and is more bowling crazy than ever. He had a 279 game a couple of weeks ago. We also took Norine in the park and she had a ball.
